Building Career Lands — Collaborative Design Workflows Showcased at IEEE VR 2024

This paper presents the Career XRcade (CXR) Framework, described as "a toolkit that lets multidisciplinary college teams co-create VR 'Career Lands' filled with mini-games, puzzles, and narrative NPCs that translate real job roles into playful exhibits."

Two case studies — Cybersecurity Land and Esports Land — each showcase five career paths. Built using templated road-mapping, industry-mentor input, and curriculum-aligned learning goals.

Planned user studies will measure gains in career identity, self-efficacy, and usability across students, teachers, and developers. Positions CXR as "a scalable, student-led model for immersive career exploration."
